Real Story: How We Helped

At Legal Cliq, we believe legal matters aren't just about laws and courtrooms—they're about people. Every case tells a story. Here's one that truly reflects why civil matters are often emotional and personal—and how the right legal approach can lead to a fair and peaceful solution.

The Background

In early 2024, a man in his late 40s walked into our office with a heavy heart. He was facing a dispute over a piece of agricultural land that had been in his family for generations. After the passing of his grandfather, the property was supposed to be divided equally between him and his cousins. But like in many Indian families, nothing had been formally written down.

For years, everyone farmed their own section peacefully, without official boundaries. But as land value increased and some family members began building structures on it, tensions rose. One cousin even attempted to sell a portion of the land—without informing the others. That was the final straw.

The Legal Challenge

What made the case tricky was the lack of legal documents confirming ownership or boundaries. There was a registered will, but it was vague. The land was still under the grandfather’s name in official records. Our client had tried talking things out, but every conversation ended in arguments.

He needed help—not just to protect his rights, but to avoid an ugly fallout with his family.

🧑‍⚖️ How Legal Cliq Stepped In

Our team first listened carefully. We believe every civil case starts with empathy. Then we laid out a clear legal plan:

Step 1: Document Review

We collected everything available—old tax records, the will, photographs, and even video clips showing how the land was being used. We pieced together a timeline and ownership history.

Step 2: Mediation First

Before heading to court, we always try to solve civil matters amicably. We sent a legal notice and suggested a neutral mediator. For a moment, it looked promising. But unfortunately, not all parties were willing to cooperate.

Step 3: Filing a Partition Suit

With no peaceful resolution in sight, we filed a civil suit for partition. We also requested an injunction—a court order preventing any sale or construction on the land during the trial.

Step 4: Presenting the Case

We represented our client across several hearings, using evidence and legal precedent to show he was entitled to an equal share. We also worked with a government-appointed court commissioner to physically assess the land and prepare a fair division plan.

Dispute Between Siblings

A brother-sister dispute over ancestral house possession

After their parents passed away, a brother and sister found themselves in a dispute over a two-story ancestral home. The brother was living in it, while the sister claimed her share to sell and invest. With emotions running high and no registered will, Legal Cliq filed a partition suit, gathered historical property tax documents, and helped mediate a court-approved division where both parties received fair market value.

Money Recovery from a Friend or Business Partner

When trust turns into debt and silence

One of our clients loaned ₹5 lakhs to a friend for a business deal, with a verbal agreement to return it within 6 months. A year passed, and the friend refused to repay. We helped our client file a money recovery suit, using WhatsApp chats and bank transactions as evidence. The court ordered repayment with interest.

➡️ If someone owes you money and won’t return it, we can help you recover it legally.

🛍️ Consumer Case Against a Builder or Product Seller

Delayed possession and false promises

A couple approached us after their apartment possession was delayed by 2 years, despite multiple payment reminders. We filed a complaint in the Consumer Forum and highlighted breach of agreement. The builder was directed to either hand over the flat with penalty or refund the full amount with compensation.

➡️ If you’re a victim of false commitments by a builder, retailer, or service provider—we'll fight for your rights.
